Klein-Norby is a Minnesota-based professional landscape design , landscape architecture, and drafting firm with over 15 years of experience. Our portfolio and areas of expertise include unique and functional residential and commercial landscapes as well as the design of neighborhood parks, signage, site amenities, pool design and sport design/ drafting. We don’t simply create drawings, we study the site and strive to understand our client’s needs so that we can immerse ourselves in the search for the most creative design solution. 

Landscape projects can differ in size and complexity with varying objectives. Klein-Norby has experience working with a wide range of clientele throughout Minnesota and surrounding states, including many of Minnesota’s most reputable developers and executive home builders.  

Our offices are located in Minnesota and historically much of our work has been in the Southwest metro and Lake Minnetonka area. However, our portfolio of projects extends well beyond the Twin Cities metro area with recent clients in Brainerd, Lutsen, and Sioux Falls. We will consider any project in any location provided the owners are sincere in their intent to make their project the very best it can be. We are dedicated to the needs of our clients and the pursuit of creative excellence.

Lastly, we believe that there exists a strong relationship between the natural and the built environment and that a well-designed project should respond to the existing site and blend easily into the surrounding landscape. Using natural drainage patterns, preserving existing vegetation, and minimizing earth moving and retaining walls results in a project which is less expensive to construct, less costly to maintain, and one that is more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
